Retreat Time Nearly Here

We had guild meeting yesterday, a stash sale, and a trunk show put on by Mary Ewing of Quilts of Valour in our area. It was such a successful day! I sold lots of my existing stash . The trunk show was very inspiring! Now that the meeting is over, I can concentrate on getting ready for retreat...we leave next Tuesday morning, and I can't wait, 3 nights, 4 days of sew much fun!!!! I hope to work on some UFOs, one of which is to machine piece my Inklingo NYB blocks together, woot, woot.
I'm finally getting things back to normal after we had the hardwood floors resanded and varnished. The mess was amazing, I think I got about 90 % of the dust out!!!

I don't think we need mirrors in the house anymore, we had them done in gloss finish and they're beautiful!!!!
One more thing I wanted to tell you about.....I found the most amazing thing for quilters wanting to organize!!! LOL, now isn't that you????? If  you go over  to Taryn's blog, Pixels to Patchwork,   here  you will find these wonderful Free Printable: Quilt Project Sheets.
Now we can keep all our projects in order of what state they're in, individually and all on one sheet.
I just love them. Make sure you tell her I sent you and of course, leaving a comment to Thank her. How generous she was to make these for us all to use!!!
Till we meet again!!!

Only a Log Cabin could bring me back to my Blog

I Have been meaning to write this blog post for a long time! It seems my posts are going to be few and farther between!  There's a reason for this..... I took over the program chair for our local quilt guild , and boy is it a BIG job!!!So I decided some thing had to suffer and I guess it was going to be the blog! So I wanted to come here and let my followers know what was going on. Well I kept procrastinating......until this weekend when I got the e mail from Fons and Porter asking me to review their new free e book...well after seeing some other blogs this week, I realized they sent it to a lot of bloggers! I had to be the RIGHT one though...as the challenge that I chose for the guild this year was.....Log Cabin Revisited!!! So I was so eager to see this free book, and I can tell you, it is absolutely amazing!!!!As well as some fantastic info and samples of  different types of Log cabin Blocks and it's free!! So without further ado, go here to get your free copy! Enjoy , enjoy, enjoy!!!!
