Only a Log Cabin could bring me back to my Blog

I Have been meaning to write this blog post for a long time! It seems my posts are going to be few and farther between!  There's a reason for this..... I took over the program chair for our local quilt guild , and boy is it a BIG job!!!So I decided some thing had to suffer and I guess it was going to be the blog! So I wanted to come here and let my followers know what was going on. Well I kept procrastinating......until this weekend when I got the e mail from Fons and Porter asking me to review their new free e book...well after seeing some other blogs this week, I realized they sent it to a lot of bloggers! I had to be the RIGHT one though...as the challenge that I chose for the guild this year was.....Log Cabin Revisited!!! So I was so eager to see this free book, and I can tell you, it is absolutely amazing!!!!As well as some fantastic info and samples of  different types of Log cabin Blocks and it's free!! So without further ado, go here to get your free copy! Enjoy , enjoy, enjoy!!!!

Back from Newfoundland and Another Inklingo Finish

I spent most of last week In Conception Bay Newfoundland visiting family! What a wonderful place it is! If you've never seen Canada's great island province, you're missing an amazing place.
Before I went I finished my newest Inklingo quilt. My Pickled Clamshell. I must admit ...I love this quilt!!!

Destashing and The Union Jack!

What a great time summer is. In Canada we try to fill as much in as possible in the summer. This year the weather has been like Australia though!!! I have spent a little time in the studio when not travelling the countryside! In fact I finally finished up my Drunkard's Trail, using the amazing Inklingo! The only machine sewing is the border!!!
Now to my stash reduction. Below you will find a Kit including pattern for  Victory Garden Quilt. The pastel colours are the ones in the kit, not the ones on the pattern front. I bought this kit last year, and it's not available any more. It's a Moda kit. Fabric is Northcote Range from Cabbage and Roses of Moda. It includes the fabric for everything except the backing. Fiished size is 56 x 62 inches. What a timely quilt kit for right now and the Olympics being in England. And boy those beautiful Union Jack blocks. I've included pictures of the fabrics in the kit too.
I only accept Paypal and charge actual shipping from Canada. Price is $80.00 US, that's 20% off the original price. If you're interested just e mail me or respond below.
There is also a photo of a black and white print, $6.00 per yard and I think there's 3 yards. Have to check as it's pouring right now and I'm not going to studio in this rain. Please stop by often as I hope to do lots more destashing in the next few days.
Thanks
Ruth

French General Again

The centre of the medallion sunflower had an appliqued circle. My friend Margaret appliqued it for me! I can't see a single thread.

Here is Margaret helping me show my finished "For the Love of a French General Two" This Baby was hand pieced with Inklingo, except for the medallion Sunflower. Now, how to quilt it!! LOL
